The experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan carry out monitoring on the site of the EP-300 factory, a part of the Azerkimya State Concern, where the fire broke out. The size of the damage to the environment will be defined at the result of the monitoring, the environmental protection department of the Ministry told Trend.
"The fire lasted nearly 10 minutes, therefore, one can not ascertain about the big damage to the environment. By the results of the monitoring the composition of the gases which had been emitted to the atmosphere will be identified”, the department’s spokesman said. The results of the monitoring will be determined shortly.
Trend was told at the EP-300 factory that the results of the investigation by the special commission on disclosing the facts of the fire at the enterprise will be ready in the morning of 26 November. The commission, along with other things, will identify the amount of the damage suffered by the factory from the fire.
