WB devises options for construction of sewerage flow from Hovsan aeration station in Caspian Sea

The World Bank specialist on water projects Manuel Marin is on visit to Baku to continue drafting the construction of deep sewerage flow from Hovsan sewage aeration station in the Caspian Sea, WB Baku Office said on Dec. 4. The mission will stay in the country by Dec. 8.

"Currently, options of technical solutions are developed that will affect the cost of the project," the same source said.
The head of the WB office in Azerbaijan Gregory Yejeychak said formerly that according to preliminary estimates, the cost of this project will be about $100-150 million.

The consultant of the project is the alliance of the French Seurega Company (subsidiary of Veolia) and Azerbaijani ASPI Company. The feasibility study for the project was prepared by the Turkish Seyas Company.

Project is expected to be approved in 2010 fiscal year.
