The National Association of Securities Market Participants and investment company Avesta Investment Group will hold the fifth international investment forum - "International Investment Forum 2009" in Tashkent May 25", the forum's organizing committee said.
The current state and prospects of development of Uzbekistan's economy, as well as promoting dialogue between foreign investors, representatives of the state and companies interested in drawing of capital are planned to be discussed within the forum.
In particular, prospects for cooperation in the banking and financial sector, the insurance market, real estate, consumer economy, including textiles sector, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, media business, telecommunications, and industrial free-trade zone "Navoi" will be discussed within the forum.
Since the beginning of the forum in 2006, over 250 delegates from 20 countries annually participate in it. Representatives of the international investment community participate actively in the event. Forum serves as an effective platform for Uzbek entrepreneurs interested in drawing foreign direct investments in promising projects. Thematic sessions, exhibitions and presentations of companies, investors' meetings with business representatives will be held during the forum.
