Car technical inspection can reduce in prices in Kazakhstan, due to creation of new technical inspection private centers, Kazakh Deputy-Minister of Transport and Communications Asylbek Duysembaev said, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
"The average cost for technical inspection is 1,800 tenge (tenge rate is 148.36 tenge / $1) for cars and 3,000 tenge for trucks. But we think the price will fall following the creation of new private centers and the development of competition in the sector," Duysembaev said at a press conference.
Technical inspections of cars in Kazakhstan passed from the Interior Ministry to private centers from January 1.
According to Duysembaev, 90 new technical inspection private centers with 214 lines of technical control will be launched in Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2012, Kazinform reported.
