Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov at a government meeting instructed the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to analyze the causes of slowdown in economic growth in the country.
"In January, unfortunately, there has been a slowdown in economic growth. Economic growth in January hit 4.8 percent. Industrial growth also slowed down," Masimov said.
Masimov instructed Economy Ministry to analyze the situation in order to address the task of reaching 7-percent growth set by the head of state.
He said it is necessary to re-examine global tendencies, a map of industrialization, and critically assess all that has been done.
"It should be done in order not to build enterprises, which then will stand still in order to avoid wasting resources for nothing. Unfortunately, there are such facts . Economy and all the other spheres suffer from this," Masimov said.
