The 5th Anniversary Caspian International Protection, Security and Rescue Exhibition, CIPS 2012, will be held at Baku Expo Centre from 17 to 20 October.

As the only international trade fair dedicated to security in the region, CIPS is not only the place for demonstrating and promoting products, business development and market research - it is also a perfect platform to exchange information, develop ideas and seek opportunities to join forces to counter the various threats to life and production.

CIPS 2012 is officially supported by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organisations of Azerbaijan Republic and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

Among the 2012 international partners are Nar Mobile (the communications partner), AZAL (the official air carrier), and Hilton Baku and Caucasus Point Hotels (the official hotels).
The exhibition is organised by Iteca Caspian and ITE Group plc.

CIPS 2012 will present the industry's leading companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Italy, Russia, Turkey and many other countries. Exhibitors will include the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which will be hosting a stand at the exhibition for the first time.

The exhibition will include displays of innovative equipment, state-of-the-art technologies, and the latest developments in CCTV, access control, and emergency and rescue equipment. Exhibitors will demonstrate intercom systems produced by Novus and Elti, which ensure the safety of residential and office spaces; KAT Systems turnstiles; and APS's automatic parking systems.

The exhibition will offer exclusive opportunities for ICT specialists to see and study in operation CCTV systems, speed dome cameras, optics for cameras and other ICT technologies widely used in ensuring the security of the population.

A feature of this year's exhibition will be the active participation of companies in the Fire Safety Systems section. Fire protection systems produced by the well-known L-3 Communication and AYG brands; fire and intruder alarms; smoke detectors; special purpose fire-fighting equipment; and fire motor ladders will be showcased for sector professionals.

Companies from Russia will be presenting a wide range of fire engine models on various chassis, such as GAZ, ZIL, Ural and Kamaz. Companies will be also making their debut at this exhibition with displays of underground fire hydrants and special fire-resistant coating for electrical cables, metal and wood.
