Pparticipants of the sixteenth council meeting of the Black Sea International Ship Owners Association (BINSA) in Baku have adopted a joint communiqué.

The meeting is held in Baku in November 5-8.

BINSA is an international non-governmental organisation working in the maritime industry. It has rich experience in organising the interaction of large shipping companies, developing organised structures and furthering good relations with the port, shipbuilding and ship repair organisations.

Board members, their authorized representatives, BINSA experts, advisers and experts from shipping companies - members of the Association of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Russia, France and others participated in the work of the Council.

The president of association, head of Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company Aydin Bashirov welcomed the members of the board and led the work of the Council.

During the meeting, the Board discussed current issues related to further support of the implementation of transport projects in the Black Sea region, cooperation between international non-governmental transport organizations with the status of the BSEC partnership, draft recommendations development for an integrated maritime policy in the Black Sea region, the economy and exploitation, protection of environmental and maritime law.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening the business partnership between association members, the development and deepening of all forms of collaboration and cooperation, participation in international organizations of maritime profile.

Board members also identified key areas of work for 2012-2013, cost estimates for 2013, the size and terms of membership fees.
