Ernst & Young holds insurance seminar in Baku (PHOTO)

Ernst & Young’s Tax & Law practice, in conjunction with the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, held a tax and insurance breakfast seminar in the Shusha room of the Hyatt Regency hotel on 14 December 2012. This seminar was delivered by Ernst & Young Baku’s tax and legal professionals who specialize in insurance.

Ernst & Young's Tax & Law practice, in conjunction with the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, held a tax and insurance breakfast seminar in the Shusha room of the Hyatt Regency hotel on 14 December 2012. This seminar was delivered by Ernst & Young Baku's tax and legal professionals who specialize in insurance.

The presentation was focused on the changes made in the insurance industry in 2012 and the expected changes related to insurance as of 1 January 2013. Additionally, application of assets tax to the market value of property, tax and social contribution consequences related to endowment life insurance, application of personal income taxes to insurance premiums, VAT issues related to insurance and reinsurance activities were discussed.

Participants from major local and multinational companies operating in Azerbaijan attended the event. There was a lively discussion and the audience appreciated the contribution made by Ernst & Young.
