Turkey ups foreign trade volume in lira by a quarter

In January-October 2012, Turkey increased its foreign trade volume in lira by 31 per cent compared to the same period of 2011.

According to the report, in January-October 2012, Turkey exported goods worth $ 126 billion with $3.6 billion accounting for transactions in lira.

During the first 10 months of 2012, Turkey imported goods worth $195.7 billion, with $ 7.3 billion accounting for transactions in lira.

According to the report, Germany ranks first for foreign trade volumes in lira. During the first 10 months of 2012, Germany and Turkey carried out trade transactions in lira worth $ 1.3 billion. Iran - $863.7 million and China $762.3 million following Germany on this list.
