"Azersu" (Azerbaijani water operator) has announced a tender to purchase the consulting services to audit the project within the second tranche "Investment program on water supply and sewerage system" financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Azerbaijani government, the report said today.
According to the report, the total cost of the investment program is $ 600 million.
A multi-tranche package was approved for its financing in September 2009.
The first loan from the package was allocated to the amount of $ 75 million to reconstruct the water supply and sewerage system in Goychay and Nakhchivan, and the second tranche - to the amount of $ 300 million (to complete the reconstruction of networks in Agdash, Beylagan Goychay and Nakhchivan). The bank plans to approve the third tranche worth $ 100 million.
The audit will cover the fiscal year [the project implementation period] from June 6, 2012 to December 31, 2016. An auditor must make conclusions on the financial statements, as well as prepare the special project financial statements, special expense reports and so on.
"Azersu" buys the consulting companies' services to attract an auditor.
