Azersun Holding Group plans to increase the export of its products abroad, chairman of the holding Abdolbari Gozel told reporters on Tuesday.

Azersun Holding Group plans to increase the export of its products abroad, chairman of the holding Abdolbari Gozel told reporters on Tuesday.

"Today, we are engaged in improving the quality of production processes and seriously preparing to enter overseas markets," Gozel said.

According to him, the holding currently exports 20 percent of its products.

"Our goal is to increase this figure to 50 percent in the next few years. We are now attracted by U.S. food markets, the CIS countries as well as the Iraqi market", Gozel said.

Gozel said earlier the company's products are mainly exported to Russia, Georgia, Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We also supply our products to the Middle East," Gozel said.

According to him, one of the main objective of the holding is to take a leading position in international food markets.

"This is mainly with regards to Georgia and the CIS countries. A large volume of our production allows us to be a leader in food production in Azerbaijan", Gozel said.

Azersun Holding Group of Companies founded in 1991 in Azerbaijan is currently the country's leading company in the field of food production, trade and agriculture.
