The last four leading internationa shipping companies have ended their businesses with Iran, ISNA reported.

Deputy of Tidewater Middle East Maritime Company, Alireza Cheshmjahan said that the international companies' direct cooperation with Iran's major cargo port Shahid Rajaee has been halted.

Shahid Rajaee is the most strategic port of Iran. Located in southern Iran, nearby coastal city of Bandar Abbas, Shahid Rajaee port is the main container traffic port of Iran and 44th among world's container traffic ports.

Before the imposed sanctions against the Tidewater Middle East Maritime Company, which is the main operator of this port, there were some 30 foreign shipping companies transporting cargoes to this port.

Cheshmjahan said previously 26 shipping companies have ended their business there, and now the remaining four companies have halted their business there as well.

Last year, European shipping lines stopped dealing with Iran and exporting cargoes, including the oil products that have previously been carried out by Chinese and South Korean ships.

Mehr News Agency reported on June 16 that Chinese and South Korean shipping lines stopped dealing with Iran as of June.
