The Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping Company has purchased 10 tankers since 2002, head of the company Aydin Bashirov said in an interview posted on the official website of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party on Tuesday.
In particular, the company purchased two tankers with an 8000 ton deadweight, seven with a deadweight of 13,000 tons and one tanker with a deadweight of 12,000 tons in 2002.
He added that the company also purchased one cargo ship during this period.
"The company received six ferries for operation in 2008-2012," he said.
