Kazakhstan's National Chamber of Entrepreneurs intends to take on a number of functions of the National Export and Investment Agency KAZNEX INVEST, Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Ablai Myrzakhmetov said to the journalists on Monday.
"We will keep sight of Kazakhstan's export promotion and investment attraction. This will be one of our goals. In a year we will raise the question of transferring some functions of KAZNEX INVEST because we do not see the point in duplicating them," he said.
At the same time, Myrzakhmetov stressed that the question of abolishing KAZNEX INVEST is not on the agenda.
"We will raise the question of delegating some of their functions to us. It is necessary that there was one 'window' and it was also clear to foreigners who are working in these areas. And what KAZNEX INVEST will do after delegating some functions will be decided by the government," he said.
The National Agency for Export and Investment KAZNEX INVEST, was established on April 2, 2010 by a decision of the MINT RK based on the Corporation for Export Development and Promotion KAZNEX. It operates within framework of the state programme of forced industrial-innovative development or new industrialisation which is the national operator of the development and promotion of non-oil exports, as well as being a specialised state-owned company to attract and work with foreign investors.
KAZNEX INVEST is funded by the national budget and provides its services free of charge.
On Monday, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs was established in Kazakhstan. Timur Kulibayev was elected chairman of the Presidium of the Chamber. The decision was made unanimously. Ablai Myrzakhmetov became a chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
The main functions of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs are protection of the rights and interests of entrepreneurs, the monitoring of the conditions of business activities in the regions, support of domestic production, as well as attracting investment and economic diversification.
The National Chamber is organized on the principle of compulsory membership in it of all business entities, duly registered in the territory of Kazakhstan. The law provides for the establishment of National Chambers at the national, regional and district levels.
