Georgian National Bank’s international reserves increased by $222 million

The Georgian National Bank's international reserves have increased by $221.9 million since early 2013.

The bank said today that according to the preliminary data, the international reserves of the National Bank as of August 31, 2013 amounted to more than $3.094 billion, which is $46 million more than on July 31, 2013.

According to the report, the bank's international reserves in foreign currency hit more than $2.876 billion including more than $1.820 billion placed in securities and more than $1.056 billion at the accounts of foreign banks and the IMF.

The amount of funds placed in SDR is $218.3 million and $15,200 at the IMF.
