The total volume of investments aimed at reconstruction and construction of roads in Azerbaijan over the last ten years constituted eight billion manat, Azerbaijani Transport Ministry told Trend on Tuesday.
As the Ministry said, of the total investments 6.3 billion manat accounted for the state budget funds and 1.7 billion manat attracted by loans.
The total length of constructed, reconstructed and repaired roads for the reporting period constituted 6974.9 kilometers, about 2701.9 kilometers of which are republican roads and 4273 kilometers are local roads.
At the same time, in 10 years 110.2 kilometers of new roads were built, from the reconstruction the category of 423 kilometers of roads was increased, overhaul and repair was conducted on 6441.7 kilometers of roads.
The total number of bridges built on roads for the last 10 years constituted 207 units.
