Head of Iranian Offshore Oil Company removed from his post

Head of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), Mahmoud Zirakchiyanzadeh has been removed from his position by the Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Roknoddin Javadi, ISNA news agency reported.

According to the report, Javadi has appointed Mohammad Bagher Soleimani as acting president of the IOOC.

The IOOC is a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company.

The Company shares one third of Iranian oil export, operating in the Iranian side of the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Its activities cover important areas of the Persian Gulf and its main operations are in Bushehr Province and on Kharg Island, Sirri Island and Lavan Island.
