Minister: Iran makes legislative changes to develop relations with Economic Cooperation Organisation

During the conference on exports in the non-oil sector of Iran, the Iranian minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammadreza Nematzadeh met with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Shamil Aleskerov in Tabriz.

During the conference on exports in the non-oil sector of Iran, the Iranian minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammadreza Nematzadeh met with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Shamil Aleskerov in Tabriz, the IRNA news agency reported on Thursday.

At the meeting, the minister noted that Iran is interested in increasing its share on the world market and progress interrelations with the ECO members.

"At present, we are improving political relations and conducting legislative reforms with the aim of developing economic relations," Nematzadeh said.

In turn, ECO Secretary General Shamil Aleskerov touched upon work on the digitalisation of trade between the countries of the ECO.

"With a reduction in input costs, the product manufactured by ECO countries, will be able to be competitive in the global market," the ECO Secretary General said.
