Azerbaijan announces medium-term outlooks for extraction of precious metals

Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 23 /Trend A.Akhundov/

In the next four years (in a period from 2014 to 2017) over 13 tons of gold ore and concentrate, 4.5 tons of silver ore and concentrate and 91,500 tons of copper ore and concentrate will be extracted in Azerbaijan, the draft concept of the country's social and economic development for 2014-2017 said.

This document is included into the budget package for 2014, submitted to Azerbaijani parliament's consideration.

The government's outlooks have been formed in the following way:

Anglo Asian Mining PLC and Azerbaijan International Mineral Resources Operating Company, Ltd. (AIMROC) are engaged in extraction of gold in Azerbaijan.
