All tenders related to the Turkish defence industry committee will now be carried out with the permission of the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation.
Turkish Resmi Gazete reported today that the decision was made on the basis of amendments to the law relating to the tender organised by the Turkish Defence Industry Committee.
The Turkish defence industry has recently focused on developing and manufacturing its own products. Turkey has managed to achieve a self-sufficiency level of 54 per cent in the industry.
The tender for the creation of long-range missiles was one of the tenders recently held in Turkey. The Chinese company CPMIEC won it.
