In 2014 the purchase and sale of real estate in Azerbaijan will be available in electronic form, deputy chairman of Azerbaijani State Committee on Property Issues, Rafig Jalilov told journalists on Nov. 27.
"This will be possible after the completion of development and deployment of a unified digital cadastral information base, which is scheduled for late 2014," he said.
According to Jalilov, the first stage of development of this process will be launched from January next year.
"Citizens will be able to contact the notary organs. The notary will have the possibility to access our electronic database of information in real time and conduct the purchase and sale operations," Jalilov said.
In addition, another innovation will be introduced in the first quarter of 2014, he said.
"Citizens who want to get a statement regarding secondary residences will also be able to do this at the notaries. Addressing the notaries, citizens will be able to both issue an appeal and pay the required fee. Thus, notary authorities will send documents electronically to the territorial administration of the State Committee. In the future, citizens will need to come to their territorial administration only once and get the ready certificate," the committee's deputy chairman said.
In the future, the initial registration of real estate in electronic form will also be available, Jalilov added.
