Azerbaijan is interested in participating in infrastructure projects implemented in Iraq, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Niyazi Safarov said at a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, technological, education and agricultural cooperation in Baku on Wednesday.
"Our country stands for the development of exports to Iraq," he said. "The cooperation between our countries is currently at a good level. It has the potential for development. The Azerbaijani side would be interested in receiving information on large tenders being held in Iraq."
"It is also necessary to work on the development of a regulatory and contractual framework of bilateral cooperation," he said.
"Azerbaijan is also ready to provide the Iraqi side with certain investment projects in case of interest," Safarov added.
