Azerbaijan starts collecting statistical data on import of prepaid goods to country

Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan. 9

By Abbas Akhundov - Trend:

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan is starting to collect statistical data on import of prepaid goods and services to the country.

The CBA approved instruction for compiling and presenting a statistical report on import of such goods and services into the country. This decision of the CBA was published in the legal normative acts registry of the Azerbaijani Justice Ministry.

The document was adopted with the aim of improving the statistics of payments balance by means of forming a complete statistical database on the amount of prepaid products and services that are imported to Azerbaijan.

The report will be presented by banks, local branches of foreign banks and the national postal operator of Azerbaijan.

According to the document, the report, which should include the information from all branches of the statistical unit, will be presented on a monthly basis and only in an electronic form. The report must be submitted to the CBA within the first 10 working days of the month following the reporting period. It should be certified with electronic signatures of the director and chief accountant of the statistical unit.
