Turkey's unemployment rate decreased by 9.7 percent amounting to 9.9 percent in in October 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, the Turkish Statistics Institute said today.
The number of unemployed in Turkey amounted to 2.743 million in October 2013, according to the institute.
The Turkish population stood at 75,627,384 as of early November.
Some 93 percent of the total working age population work in the private sector, while seven percent are in the public sector, according to the report.
