The seven-seater minivan is equipped with a 1.8-liter engine producing 141 hp with an average fuel consumption of 7.9 liters per 100 kilometers and a six-speed automatic transmission.

The five-door car has three rows of seats in any configuration. At present, General Motors produces this model in South Korea, Russia, Venezuela and Vietnam.

At present, the comments of GM Uzbekistan on planned production and cost of the project are not available.

The production of Chevrolet Orlando is carried out in accordance with SKD technology on the premises of Khorazm Automobile Production Association in the Khorezm region.

It is expected that freed automobile production area of GM Uzbekistan which is located in the Andijan region, will be used for the production of new models.

More than two years ago, Uzavtosanoat has transferred the car production on SDK technology from the Andijan region on to some premises of the Tashkent Aviation Production Association named after V. P. Chkalov, where Captiva and Malibu cars are assembled.

In 2007, Uzavtoprom and General Motors signed an agreement to establish a basis for the GM Uzbekistan plant for the production and sale of Chevrolet cars. The American side owns 25 percent of the shares.

Currently, GM Uzbekistan JV produces eight models of cars. Two models of Chevrolet - Captiva and Malibu are produced on SKD technology and the rest - in the framework of full-scale production.

In 2013, "GM Uzbekistan" increased production by 4.5 percent compared with 2012 - up to 246,031 units.
