Azerbaijani Kapital Bank issues bonds

The Azerbaijani State Securities Committee registered the issue prospectus of registered book-entry unsecured bonds of Kapital Bank totaling 8 million manat, the website of the committee reported on March 25.

Some 8,000 bonds with a nominal value of 1,000 manats each were recorded within the emission. Kapital Bank is planning private placement of its bonds.

Kapital Bank has the widest network of branches and a large customer base. Today, 89 branches and 11 offices of the bank operate in the country.

Kapital Bank was fully state-owned until the summer of 2008. At the present time, the major shareholder of Kapital Bank is Pasha Holding, which owns 97.75 percent of its shares.

Official exchange rate on March 25 is 0,7843 AZN / USD.
