Electricity tariffs increase by 9.5 percent, natural gas for the population and enterprises by 8.9 percent, central heating, hot water - 11.7 percent, and cold water -10.5 percent in Uzbekistan as of April 1.

The tariffs for these kinds of utilities increased in October 2013. At the time, the tariffs for electricity consumption increased by 7.4 percent, natural gas by 8.5 percent, central heating, hot water supply by 6.4 percent, and cold water supply by 3.5 percent.

It was previously reported that electricity consumption rose in price by 14.4 percent, gas by 22.5 percent, the central heating and hot water by 19.9 percent, and cold water - 17 percent in Uzbekistan in 2013.

The official exchange rate is 2.262.93 soums/$ 1 on April 1.
