Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh will participate in the Fourth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) which will be held in Shanghai May 27-28.

Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Transport Minister Abbas Akhoundi will accompany the president, Iran's Shana news agency reported on May 20.

Iran pays special attention to boost relations with China, Rouhani said before leaving Tehran.

The theme of this year's conference is "Increasing dialogue, mutual trust and collaboration to build a new Asia."

In March, Valiollah Afkhami-Rad, Director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said that Iran and China plan to increase their annual trade to $200 billion.

Based on the targets set by the presidents of Iran and China, trade transactions between the two countries should reach $200 billion per annum in 10 years.

The establishment of joint venture companies can contribute to the promotion of trade ties between Iran and China, he said.

According to Afkhami-Rad, Chinese can invest in various sectors in Iran, including steel, mines, transportation, agriculture, oil, gas and the petrochemical industry.
