Iran announced Sunday June 1, plans to create a free trade and tourism zone in "Savalan" on the border with Azerbaijan.
The aim is to fully utilize the economic potential of the Iranian cities of Meshginshehr , Sareyn , Sarab , Nir and Hill, said Ibrahim Imami mayor of the Iranian city of Meshginshehr.
The announcement was made Sunday, June 1, during a meeting with reporters.
Meshginshehr, located at the foot of the Savalan mountain, has great tourism potential, said the mayor.
He said that work on the creation of free trade and tourism zone "Savalan" will begin shortly.
" Our city is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijani investors," - he added.
The mayor added that the region also has the potential for the development of agriculture, which is capable of attracting investments in the agricultural sector.
We are ready to offer favorable conditions for Azerbaijani investors, he said.
