Iran exports $2.137 billion of goods to china in 3 months

Iran exported some 7.361 million tons of goods worth $2.137 billion to China in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - June 20).

According to Iran's Customs Administration, Iraq was the second biggest destination for Iranian non-oil goods.

Baghdad imported 4.228 million tons of Iranian goods worth $1.442 billion in the mentioned period.

United Arab Emirates with $944 million, Afghanistan with $552 million, and Turkey with $517 million were the other major customers of Iranian goods.

Iran totally exported 25.518 million tons of non-oil goods worth some $11.859 billion in the first three months of current year.

The country's total trade also amounted to $24.245 billion in the mentioned period, which shows 27 percent increase compared to the same period of time last year.

According to Iran Customs Administration, the country's total non-oil exports to foreign countries (excluding gas condensates) stood at $31.332 billion in previous year (which ended on March 20), while the country's total imports amounted to $50.818 billion.

The figures mark annual trade balance of -19.486 billion dollars for Iran.

Iran's annual trade turnover is projected to reach $160 billion by the end of the fifth five-year development plan (March 2016).
