"Azerbaijan Railways" adds additional cars due to great passenger flow on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route, spokesman for Azerbaijan Railways Nadir Azmammadov told Trend on July 25.
The great passenger traffic in this direction falls on the weekend. So, it is necessary to add additional cars.
"This direction is very popular," he said. "The great passenger flow is observed on weekends. Additional cars are added to transport a large number of passengers traveling through the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route."
While answering the question about a possibility of launching a tourist train through the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route, Azmammadov stressed that the decision is usually made on the basis of appeals of the tourism companies. This also depends on the passenger flow.
"But no appeals on this issue were made," he said.
