Iran’s non-oil exports hit $8.1 billion in 3 months

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran exported $8.1 billion worth of non-oil goods (excluding gas condensates) in spring 2014.

Iranian Trade Promotion Organization official Hossein Badri said non-oil export amounted to 19.7 million tons in weight, Iran's IRNA news agency reported on August 3.

China, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates were the top three importers of Iranian non-oil goods. The three countries imported $2.1 billion, $1.4 billion, and $994 million worth of Iranian goods, respectively.

Iran's total non-oil trade (including condensates) surpassed $24.2 billion in spring 2014, according to the Iran Customs Administration.

Iran exported $11.85 billion worth of non-oil products and imported $12.38 billion worth of non-oil products in spring 2014, which corresponds to the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21).

In comparison with the same period last year, the country's non-oil exports and non-oil imports rose by 20.53 percent and 35.63 percent, respectively.
