The first Women's Institute "Kazakh Қyzy" ("Kazakh girl") will open in Astana, Kazakhstan, spokesperson for the institute Zarina Ahmetzhanova told Trend Sept. 16.

"The first Women's Institute of Cultural and Moral Education will open in Astana on September 18," she added.

The institute aims to provide education, meeting the best Kazakh and European social and moral traditions, demonstrating Kazakhstan as the developed socio-economic and cultural country.

Majilis Vice-Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva, Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov, public figures and others will attend the opening ceremony.

"Kazakh Қyzy" project is to promote the Kazakh culture and revive cultural norms and principles, customs and family traditions.

"Much attention should be paid to education of girls because they are the future wives and mothers," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said earlier.
