Cash money supply increases by 10 percent in Azerbaijan during year

The money supply rate (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and physical entities) increased by 18.5 percent in January-August 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, the Azerbaijani Central Bank's statistics report said.

The money supply rate (M2) amounted to 17.452.4 billion AZN as of August 1, 2014 compared to 14.731.2 billion AZN as of August 2013, according to the report.

The amount of cash money supply (M0) increased by 10.2 percent and amounted to 10.488 billion AZN compared to 9.516.9 billion AZN as of early August 2013.

As of January-August 2014, Broad Money Supply (M3) totaled 21.306.4 billion AZN or 22.2 percent more compared to January-August 2013 (17.442.3 billion AZN).

The transaction money (M1) increased by 11 percent per year and amounted to 13.000.9 billion AZN compared to 11.715.1 billion AZN as of August 2013.
