Kazakh export prices rise, import prices drop

While goods exported by Kazakhstan increased in price by 0.7 percent, goods imported by the country decreased in price by 0.1 percent in August compared to July, the Kazakh Statistics Committee said on Oct. 13.

Among the exported goods, gas condensate increased in price by 8.5 percent, ferrous and non ferrous metals ores - by 7.2 percent, zinc - by 7 percent, aluminum - by 5.5 percent, natural gas - by 0.7 percent, petroleum products - by 0.6 percent.

Meanwhile exporting lead decreased in price by 9.1 percent, products of ferrous metals - by 4.5 percent, cotton - by 3.8 percent, ferroalloys - by 2 percent, wool - by 1.9 percent, coal - by 1.4 percent, liquefied propane - by 0.8 percent.

Barley price was reduced by 9.8 percent, cereals - by 9.1 percent, flour - by 7.3 percent, wheat - by 2.2 percent.

A decrease in price on the importing goods is as follows: poultry - 5.2 percent, vegetable oil - 5 percent, tobacco - by 4.1 percent, tea - 1.7 percent, dairy products - by 0.9 percent. Imported coffee increased in prices by 29.4 percent, vegetables - by 11.8 percent, fish - by 2 percent, rice - by 1.4 percent, vegetables - by 1 percent, sugar - by 0.9 percent.
