Kazakhstan increased gold production by 9 percent in January-September 2014 compared to the same period of 2013

Kazakhstan increased gold production by 9 percent in January-September 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported on Oct. 16 with reference to the Statistics Committee under Kazakh National Economy Ministry.
The country produced 34.029 metric tons of raw, semi-finished gold and gold in powder during the reporting period.

Refined gold production hit 19.15 metric tons (13.6 percent increase) in Jan.- Sept. 2014.
Meanwhile raw, semi-finished silver, and silver in power production decreased by 5.1 percent to 695.9 metric tons. Refined silver production amounted to 691.4 metric tons (5.2 percent decrease) in this period.

Refined, raw and unalloyed copper production in January-Sept. decreased by 24.8 percent to 208,000 metric tons, raw zinc production increased by 1.8 percent to 242,700 metric tons, raw lead production increased by 39.9 percent to 93,400 metric tons.
