"Harvesting still continues in some areas of North Kazakhstan and Kostanai regions, it is about to be finished in two districts of Akmola region, and is completed in the rest districts," he said. "At present, the crops in the whole country have been harvested from an area of 14.5 million hectares, or 96.5 percent of the harvested area, according to the live data of Akimats (regional executive authorities). About 18.3 million metric tons of grain has been harvested in bunker weight with an average yield of 12.6 metric tons per hectare."

He said that the volume of the gross harvest of grain this year in weight after processing is forecasted at about 17.6 million metric tons, which makes it possible to bring the country's export capacity to 7 million metric tons.

The minister said that this year's yield on vegetable crops exceeds the yield of 2014 by 12.1 quintals per hectare, potatoes - 15.9 quintals per hectare.

Mamytbekov said that oilseeds have currently been collected from 64 percent of the area, vegetables, melons and potatoes - from 99.6 percent of the area.
