Azerbaijan manufactured 1,840 cars in January-October 2014, which is 5 times more than in the same period of 2013, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said in its report for ten months of 2014.
The country produced 424 cars in 2013, or 21.8 percent less than in 2012.
Around 220 trucks were produced in Azerbaijan in January-October 2014, which is 4.8 percent more than in the same period of 2013, according to the report.
This is while, the number of trucks produced in Azerbaijan in 2013, totaled 246, or 52.8 percent more than in 2012.
The country also produced 1,083 tractors in January-October 2014, which is 2.1 times more than in the same period of 2013.
Azerbaijan produced some 739 tractors in 2013, which is 19.6 percent more than in 2012.
Currently, two vehicle manufacturing plants - Nakhchivan and Ganja automobile plants - operate in Azerbaijan.
