With four successful publications on Azerbaijan's economy released, The Business Year has commenced research for its fifth edition, The Business Year: Azerbaijan 2015. Produced in partnership with the Administration of the President, The Business Year is the most renowned English language publication on the economy of Azerbaijan. With the First European Games approaching in 2015, the London based publication will have a special focus on the international event, looking at the opportunities it will provide in strengthening Azerbaijan's international position, stimulating investment, and promoting tourism and sport.

Through its governmental partner, The Business Year has established a strong presence in Azerbaijan and has become a leader in conducting in depth research within the country. The 2015 edition will be published in the first half of 2015 prior to the European Games in order that readers around the world have the most up to date perspective on Azerbaijan's global presence and the opportunities that it can offer internationally.

"This is a perfect opportunity for The Business Year and Azerbaijan to cooperate and showcase the opportunities available in this unique and dynamic country," Betül Cakaloglu, The Business Year's Regional Director in Azerbaijan, said. "The European Games will ensure that the eyes of the world are on Azerbaijan, and we are delighted to be back for our fifth edition conducting research and providing in depth analysis of Azerbaijan's economy."

Having successfully avoided the worst of the financial crisis, Azerbaijan has become a hub of financial opportunity. The World Bank's Doing Business 2015 report ranked Azerbaijan as twelfth globally among the most fruitful locations to start a business and it has risen 8 places to 80th in the 'Ease of Doing Business' ranking, making it one of the top ten improvers globally. Regulatory reforms and technological sophistication have continued to support Azerbaijan's global position. The strong presence of a number of international enterprises ranging from BP to Total has demonstrated that there is considerable opportunity for investment and international cooperation. Moreover, anticipation of the upcoming European Games in 2015 has demonstrated significant global confidence in Azerbaijan's foundation and tourism infrastructure.

The Business Year provides first hand information, speaking directly with the key leaders within each sector of the economy and complementing the interviews with in depth research. Published internationally and locally, it has been acclaimed by key leaders in politics and business as well as by the international media, and key financial institutions.

The 2015 report on Azerbaijan will feature over 200 leaders of government and business including President Ilham Aliyev, the Governor of the Central Bank, and the Minister of Finance, as well as several international Guest Speakers who will talk about broader ties and the strengthening of trade relations.
