A meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian MPs was held in Batumi Nov. 27.

The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign and Interparliamentary Relations of the Azerbaijani Parliament Samad Seyidov, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ahmet Berat Conkar and members of the committees of the two parliaments attended the meeting, the Georgian parliament said.

The representatives of the Georgian ministry of economy, ministry of energy, Georgian experts attended the meeting as well.

The foreign policy issues, interparliamentary cooperation, mutual relations in the sphere of economy, investments, culture, as well as regional security issues were discussed at the meeting.

"The relations between the three countries are being rapidly developed," the participants of the meeting said. "The periodic trilateral meetings of the presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and speakers testify to this. But it is important that such meetings are held now at the level of chairmen of the parliamentary committees.

The first trilateral interparliamentary meeting was held in Baku on April 22, 2014. The representatives of parliamentary committees plan to hold the next meeting in Ankara.
