Chinese and Kazakh companies signed a number of documents at a meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council in Astana.
One of the first documents signed at the meeting was the memorandum of cooperation between Baiterek NMH JSC and the Export-Import Bank of China. It was signed by the chairman of the Board of Baiterek NMH JSC Kuandyk Bishimbayev and Vice President of Export-Import Bank of China Yuan Xingyong.
Also, Chairman of the Board of KAZ Minerals PLC Oleg Novachuk and president of the Chinese corporation China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. Wang Hongqian signed an agreement on the construction of Aktogay copper project between Kazakhmys Aktogay LLP and NFC Kazakhstan LLP. The cost of the project is $530 million, said the materials distributed during the meeting.
In addition, a memorandum of cooperation between the KAZNEX INVEST National Export and Investment Agency JSC and Cathay Industrial Biotech Co., LTD was signed by the Deputy Chairman of the National Export and Investment Agency Asel Ergazieva and CEO Xiucai Liu at the meeting.
