The total volume of industrial production (the volume of production and rendered industrial services) amounted to 29.8 billion AZN in Azerbaijan in January-November 2014 or by 1.5 percent less than in the same period of 2013, according to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report.
'Azerbaijan's non-oil sector showed a 6.6 percent growth, while the oil sector reduced by 3 percent compared to the same period of 2013', according to a report.
The production volume in the mining industry exceeded 21 billion AZN with a specific weight of 70.4 percent in the whole industrial production process during the reporting period. This is 2.6 percent less than in January-November 2013.
The oil production volume amounted to 38.38 million metric tons, while natural gas production was 17.03 billion cubic meters in January-November 2014. Oil production dropped 2.9 percent, while gas production increased by 5.3 percent compared to January-November 2013.
The production volume in the processing industry amounted to 7 billion AZN (23.5 percent of the total production volume) in January-November 2014 which is 2 percent more than in January-November 2013.
The growth was stressed in vehicle production - by 3.3 times, tobacco- 83 percent, the production of motor vehicles and trailers - 48.7 percent, jewelry, music, sports and medical equipment - 90 percent, repair and installation of machinery and equipment - 47.4 percent, clothing - 65 percent, chemical production - 28.3 percent, construction material production - 19.8 percent.
Production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam hit 5.5 percent of the total production volume and water supply, treatment and recycling of waste - 0.7 percent.
