Turkmenistan Airlines will start carrying out direct flights on Ashgabat-Riga route in February 2015, the company said on Dec.25.
Under the contract signed in Ashgabat, it has been agreed to carry out Turkmenistan-Latvia-Canada intercontinental flight in H1 of 2015.
Currently, Turkmenistan Airlines carries out regular flights to 15 cities of 11 European and Asian countries - Abu Dhabi, Almaty, Amritsar, Bangkok, Birmingham, Delhi, Dubai, Frankfurt, Kiev, London, Minsk, Moscow, Beijing, Istanbul, St. Petersburg. The company also carries out domestic flights between Ashgabat and provincial centers.
Turkmenistan Airlines transports over 3,000 passengers within the country per year, while this figure exceeds 500,000 people in the company's international flights.
