On the results of January-December 2014, the share of the Apple company's devices on the market of Azerbaijan increased by 76.5 percent, the statistical center Global Stats said Dec.29.
As of December 29, 2014, the share of Apple devices on the Azerbaijani market was 24.35 percent.
Apple's share increase amounted to 89 percent, compared with the same period in 2013. The Apple company ranks second on the mobile phone market in Azerbaijan.
On the results of late 2014, a significant reduction (69 percent) was recorded in the share of mobile devices of Nokia company, which ranks third on the popularity of mobile devices in Azerbaijan, and it owns 8.71 percent of the market. The share of Nokia has decreased by 72.39 percent, compared with the same period in 2013.
A 16.78 percent increase during 2014 was recorded in the market share of mobile devices of Samsung company. Samsung devices rank first on the mobile phone market of Azerbaijan with a share of 44.8 percent. Samsung devices share increase amounted to 22.47 percent, compared with the same period in 2013.
Sony mobile devices rank fourth with a share of 6.19 percent. They are followed by unknown device manufacturers (mainly Chinese) - 3.67 percent, Huawei - 3, 66 percent, HTC - 3,62 percent, LG - 1,74 percent, Blackberry - 0,9 percent and Alcatel - 0,7 percent.
