Azerbaijani cargo carrier "Silk Way West" (freight transportation) intends to purchase three Boeing 747-8 aircraft. The price of a purchase contract exceeds $ 1.1 billion, Boeing said Jan. 9.
At present, the sides are finalizing the purchase/sale process of Boeing 747-8 aircraft.
"Silk Way West" is part of "Silk Way Holding", which combines a number of companies operating in the aviation industry and its related services.
"Silk Way West" has seven "Boeing" aircraft, including two "767-300" aircraft, three - "747-400" aircraft, two - "747-8" aircraft, the statement says.
The contract for Boeing aircraft purchase by the Azerbaijani company in 2015-2016 was signed in Baku in 2014.
