Astana, Kazakhstan, Jan.16

By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend:

Decision on plans for oil production at any global prices on raw materials will be taken by the oil companies themselves, the ministry of energy of Kazakhstan told Trend.

"The decision on the plans of oil production under various international oil prices are taken by the oil companies themselves, taking into account the various economic and industrial factors," the ministry said, answering the question whether the decline in prices on raw materials will affect oil production volumes in the country.

The ministry said that the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, as an integral part of the global energy sector, can meet a variety of challenges that can affect various aspects of development.

"The key risks include global energy prices, which are subject to high volatility," said the ministry of energy.

At the same time, the ministry did not mention the average cost of oil production in the country.

"In Kazakhstan oil production is carried out on more than 200 fields, which are at different stages of development and are characterized by different oil cost," the ministry said.

At the same time, the ministry of energy said that the oil and gas industry plays a significant role in the development of the country.

Kazakhstan for 2014 reduced the production of oil and condensate by 1.2 percent - to 80.8 million metric tons.
