Iranian Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati will visit China on Jan. 18 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Han Changfu, Iran's ISNA news agency reported.
The two sides will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation in the sphere of agriculture.
The MoU will cover comprehensive program of activities, as well as joint projects for the next five years.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Hojjati is scheduled to visit China's Shandong province. The province is one of the main agriculture development centers of China, in particular, in greenhouse and fishery sector.
Holding a joint meeting of the two countries' entrepreneurs in agriculture sector is also on the agenda of Hojjati's visit.
This is the first visit to China by Iranian agriculture minister since the 1979 Islamic revolution.
