Telasi electricity distribution company of Tbilisi consumed over 2.252 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in 2014, which is 9.1 percent (189 million kilowatt hours) more than in 2013, a report on the company's operation for 2014 said Jan.27.

The country's economic growth and the increase in the number of consumers have led to the growth of electricity consumption.

The volume of net supply of electricity to consumers has increased by 10.9 percent, or by 208 million kilowatt hours compared to 2013 and amounted to 2.115 billion kilowatt hours in 2014.

The number of subscribers of the Telasi company has increased by 3.4 percent (17,600 consumers) in 2014, compared to 2013 and stood at 542,100 (491,700 - individuals and 50,400 - legal entities).

The total length of the company's power transmission lines was 4,593 kilometers in 2014, which is 5.7 percent (246 kilometers) more than in the same period of 2013 (4,347 kilometers).

The extension of power lines is a result of the development of networks and joining of new subscribers, as well as the work on the reconstruction and modernization of networks.

Telasi JSC is one of the largest networking companies of Georgia. It is engaged in distribution and sale of electricity in Tbilisi.
