Azerbaijan to produce industrial chocolate

Azerbaijani group of companies, Azersun Holding, will open a new factory for production of industrial chocolate in Baku in 2015, the holding's director general, Savas Uzan, told Trend on Jan. 28.

"An industrial chocolate factory is currently under construction in Baku. We will supply its products to the companies for production of consumer chocolate," Uzan said.

He added that the factory will also produce sunflower halva, Turkish delight, jellies etc.

Uzan further noted that this year it is planned to commission a fodder plant in the city of Imishli.

"The fodder plant's capacity will be 200,000 metric tons per year. We expect that it will be put into operation in late March," Uzan said.

Azersun Holding, founded in 1991 in Azerbaijan, is today a leading company in the country in the area of food production, trade and agriculture.
