The unemployment rate in Turkey was 10.4 percent in October 2014, according to the website of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
TUIK said on its website Feb.9 that in October 2014 there were 3.43 million unemployed in Turkey, while the unemployment rate among men was 9.1 percent, and 13.3 percent among women.
As of Dec. 1, 2014, the population of Turkey was 77,695,904.
Some 20.7 percent out of the total number of working Turkish citizens, or 4,404 million people are employed in agriculture, 20.5 percent - in the industry, and 7.7 percent - in construction.
The remaining 51.1 percent of Turkey's working population is employed in other sectors of the economy.
